Thanks Sarah. I am an email provider, and I am planning to give my customers to make their own black and whitelists. Of course, this will be made at email-account-level, (not domain-level as cPanel provides). I am asking questions here and there, but couldn't find any answers like: There is a prett...

We haven't come across this before. Can you post an example or two of these spam emails, including all the headers (including the MailScanner headers)?

There's no inbuilt limit to the number of entries in the spam.whitelist.rules and spam.blacklist.rules files. However, bear in mind that the whole blacklist and whitelist will be loaded into memory with each MailScanner process, thus increasing the footprint of each MS process, and every mail must b...

Tail the maillog to find out if MailScanner is working, and look at the headers of emails to see if they are being scanned. You can send a test virus (google for Eicar) to find out if clamav is working. MailScanner will automatically call spamassassin to scan messages, and you should see the SA scor...

The default installation of MailScanner as per our install script uses SpamAssassin. We recommend disabling it in cPanel because if it is enabled in cPanel and you are running MailScanner, you'll be running two copies of SA which is unnecessary and will use a lot of server resources. We think MailSc...

We've seen this missing spool file error occasionally. Running the following script (with MailScanner enabled) usually fixes it:

/usr/mscpanel/msswitch.pl inout

Be sure to enable Mailscanner first and un-do those exim configuration edits you made regarding the spool directory.

You should be able to use *@*.sampleshop.com. Did you try it?

Does the domain have an IP address or block of addresses that you can whitelist instead of the domain?

What errors are you getting in the exim log?

tail -f /var/log/exim_mainlog
