Spam List Skip If Authenticated = yes - Stopped all mail and MS went into loop

Post by DigitalEssence »

Hi,

I changed the option: Spam List Skip If Authenticated = from the default no to yes and saved and this stopped all incoming emails from being processed and no incoming emails were delivered. Outgoing emails continued being delivered. Also the bulk list number increased but wasn't being processed and the logs showed MailScanner looping through the start up.

Postfix/Exim only: (yes/no)
If an user sends a mails after authenticating to the local mta
this option disables the rbl checks if set to "yes". If set to "no" or not
defined the rbl check will be executed even when the user is authenticated.

My understanding and correct me if I got this wrong. Is that this will stop authenticated senders being checked against RBL's. I have the issue of my customers ISP Dynamic IP's being included in RBL's and them being blocked and I was hoping that by enabling this option, when they authenticate through the server to send mail, they won't be scanned against the RBL list.

This is an excerpt from the log tail after changing this option to yes.
