Internal Server Error 500 - ConfigServer Explore

Post by Artur »

Coincidence or not, since I upgraded cPanel, PHP and MySQL, the ConfigServer plugins began to display blank page or Internal Server Error 500 errors.
I have already "forced" the update of both cPanel and CS plugins, without result .
Does anyone who has experienced the problem know the solution? Thank you!
==============================================
Server CENTOS 6.10
WHM/cPanel: 78.0.20
MySQL 5.7.25
PHP 7.3

WHM > ConfigServer Explorer

Internal Server Error
500
No response from subprocess (/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/configserver/cse.cgi):

Try using the script here to upgrade all your configserver scripts:

Thank you very much, Sarah.
I circled the script on both servers. It had no effect. The error continues.
- that all CSs were up to date.
- that the update script was executed, but error continued.
- error is occurring in CSE and CMM

I noticed something important that should be placed here ...
Whenever CSE presents the error, it appears in the CSF an information that appears an impediment of the CSF script to verify if there is a new update for it.

"Upgrade
Unable to connect to https://download.configserver.com, retry in 300 seconds. An Upgrade button will appear here if new version is detected "

Hence this time of 300 seconds goes into regressive (again loading the CSF gives to see that the seconds decrease) and, after this time has been cleared, we were able to access the CSE again.

I am very suspicious that the two facts are related.

I can not solve the problems ....

Make sure you are not blocking any of our server IPs in your firewall: https://www.configserver.com/ipaddresses.html

If you continue to have the connection problem, please send an email to sales@waytotheweb.com with a description of the problem and your server's IP address so we can check our firewall.

Hello, Sarah. Thanks again for your intervention. I checked the IPs in the Firewall and they are not blocked. I will follow your suggestion and send email to "waytotheweb.com". Again, your suggestions are always welcome.
Best regards, Artur

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem or only me on my servers? Very strange! Something from the cPanel session interfering with loading the plugins?

Hi Artur

I had a similar problem, CSE would show 500 Internal Errors, and CSF would show blank pages, this after updated to latest CSE. I also tried the script mentioned, re-install of CSE and also checking that firewall was not blocking IP addresses.

The fix was actually to use the CSF > Fix Common Problems > Reinstall CSF.

Hope this helps someone.
