email alert

Post by bibob »

i have "ConfigServer Security & Firewall - csf v6.43" installed on my cpanel server

iam getting too many email alerts as the most of them are like
SSH login alert for user root from XXXXXX

XXX is my ip address. can i exclude my ip adress from the watch list? so i dont recieve such emails alerts if it come from my ip, but still check other ip addresses?

Try adding your IP to csf.ignore.

Thanks to the ConfigServer team for this nice app. Please do no perceive my observations as a complaint. CSF/LFD is a great product and I appreciate your offering them free of charge.

Unfortunately, the solution presented here does not help us dynamic DNS users as we cannot add hostnames to the allow and ignore lists. This is an older thread so I will post an inquiry as to why that is as a separate thread if I don't get a reply here in a few days.

As a last resort, I have turned-off email alerts for SSH logins (LF_SSH_EMAIL_ALERT = "0" and once I realized that bouncing CSF was not the same as bouncing LFD, that change seems to be working fine.

Thanks again to WttW Ltd for providing CFS/LFD!
