Please add PURGE

Post by simpleware »

Webmail users keep running out of space because their Trash folder is full, I tried to find a solution for "purge at login or logout", "purge after X days"...but I couldn't find any working solution. Is there any way to include in the ConfigServer Mail Manage an option to PURGE ALL DELETED boxes in the Account and not at user level?

Please 'Jonathan' consider this!

;)

Thanks

You can set the server to plung the " Trash " automatic

Home »Service Configuration »Mailserver Configuration

Scroll to the bottom, tick " Auto Expunge Trash "

Trash Expire Time set to every day " 1 "
( number represents the amount of days to keep emails in the trash. )

Our experience so far is that this option doesn't work as advertised.

Hey Sergio,

Nothing that I can see, just doesn't seem to delete the messages in the trash based on date.

Interested to know if anyone else is getting it to work?

I have just set it on and I set it for 20 days period, I will do some tests and see if it works.

It works perfect for me.

i have it set to every day and the trash on peoples email accounts gets emptied on
a cpanel update cron job.. as it happens roughly at the same time i set for updates.

@darrencain - Are you seeing that listed as a root cron?

Mind posting the line you're seeing assuming Dovecot?

Thanks

I was only guessing it was using the same cron job.
