MaxMind = What does it provide?

I understand that for certain sites, like those that accept credit cards, MaxMind provides fraud prevention. But I don't understand what functions it offers in CFS's Firewall Configuration.

Also wondering if there is a log of MM's activity.

Any insights are appreciated.

MaxMind tells from what country the IP belongs to, in my case in CSF using MaxMind I block ports to Countries that are not my customers, per example FTP ports just to mention one. On blocking that ports my server will never accept connections from the Countries I have black listed and for me that is a plus on using it.
