Better email control

Post by Neutrall »

Managing many servers with CXS installed is great but can also generate a lot of false positive emails.

In the options of each scan, I would like to possibility to have more control over some email, for example:
  • Do not send emails if you have 0 hits, 0 viruses and 0 fingerprints: (Hits:0) (Viruses:0) (Fingerprints:0)
  • Do not report folder that are “Skipped – too many resources”
  • Do not count “Skipped – too many resources” as a “hit”.
  • Add Watch in the database report.
  • Add an option for watch, daily and weekly not to send email at all. (I do not suggest disabling all email in a production server, but I would disable the watch email and kept only the daily and weekly one. That is if Watch could be added to the DB report).
This could help us better managed the received emails from the CXS.
