WordFence Falcon Engine ignore

Post by solokron »

With the popularity of WordFence I am seeing more and more of these. My ignore does not seem to work. What is the proper ignore rule for ignoring the wfcache folder globally?

cxswatch Scanning /home/username/public_html/wp-content/wfcache/www.domain.com_article
# Suspicious directory:
'/home/username/public_html/wp-content/wfcache/www.domain.com_article'

For a product I paid for I'd think some form a response is not much to ask.

For a paid product you should consider putting in a ticket at the help desk.

I don't usually bring up older posts, but in this case I thought it might help others that are getting more and more of these wfcache warnings.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you just have to add it to the cxs.ignore file, found in etc/cxs/

There are instructions in the file, and I've seen others add things for Joomla and Wordpress like this:

hdir:/administrator/components/com_akeeba
hdir:/wp-content/wfcache

There are other firewall/security extensions for Joomla that don't seem to be triggering cxs, and maybe the Akeeba one is no longer needed.

Remember not to ignore too many items. The 'false positives' are still helpful as it gives an idea of different updates on different websites.
