Hi,

When clicking the Upgrade ClamAV button in WHM --> MailScanner FE page, all we are seeing is an endless procession of these messages:

Retrieving ClamAV tarball from Sourceforge...


Retrieving ClamAV tarball from Sourceforge...


Retrieving ClamAV tarball from Sourceforge...


Retrieving ClamAV tarball from Sourceforge...


Which never seems to complete. This used to take all of 5 minutes, but I now have two servers that have been working on this for nearly an hour.

Any logs that we can check to see what may be going on with this?

I have the same problema hitted the button upgrade clam av:

ANd so on

and now I get a chksrvd

Service: clamav
Notification Type: failed

Notification: clamav failed @ Tue May 6 21:05:36 2014. A restart was attempted automagically.

Anyone has a solution for this?

We don't see a clamav failed notice, just an endless procession of "Retrieving ClamAV tarball" entries. This also happens on every server.

I've tried temporarily disabling CSF firewall, fearing that we were blocking the connection to Sourceforge, but this did not help. I've also tried doing this, both before and after upgrading Mailscanner and Mailscanner Front End, but still no joy.

Update - We just got word that this version ClamAV was pulled by the developer, thus the reason for the issue as described. See:

I reomved the service clamav from service list and monitor and mailscanner seems to be working
