Local Users

Post by docbreed »

Is there a way we can prevent local users on a hosted domain from scanning all together?

We have users that cannot email each other in the same domain without being picked up in the mailscanner. At the same time if i whitelist there domain, this allows spoofed emails from outside to come into our system without scanning.

There has to be a better solution.
ex: domain.com

If a person that authenticates and sends an email to another local user from domain.com or any domain that is local, it should NOT scan at all. If an authenticated user to a local domain.com sends and email, it should NOT scan.

only incoming emails from and outside source it SHOULD scan.

Please tell me how to make this happen. Unhappy clients currently on two servers. I did not set this up, i paid configserv to set this up.

I'm in need of this too. RBL checks are marking local users sending to other local users as SPAM because we are checking THEIR IP address instead of the server IP. Customers with dynamic IPs will always fail that check.
