MailWatch error

Post by jols »

We recently had to rebuild a server due to a crashed hard drive.
We had you folks install MailScanner before, and I am just trying to get it going again.

MailScanner seems to be fine, but I am getting this when attempting to open the MailWatch window:

Error:
Unable to select a regular expression for your primary virus scanner (auto) - please see the examples in functions.php to create one.

Is there a relatively easy fix for this?

Thanks much.

Yes. Go into the MailScanner Configuration in WHM > ConfigServer MailScanner FE. Search for "Virus Scanners = " and change it from "auto" to whatever virus scanner you have installed and configured to use with MailScanner.

As per the previous reply, "auto" will not work. You need to set it to whatever virus scanning you are using, such as clamav or clamd.
