We are licenced: MailScanner - v5.0.2 installed

After updating Monitored Services in WHM / Service Manager I got an error when Saving / Restarting.
===============================
Waiting for “mailscanner” to start ……waiting for “mailscanner” to initialize ………failed.

Cpanel::Exception::Services::StartError Service Status

Service Error
(XID eckgdv) The “mailscanner” service failed to start.

Startup Log
Starting MailScanner daemons:
MailScanner: [ OK ]

mailscanner has failed. Contact your system administrator if the service does not automagically recover.
==========================

The Mail Scanner IS actually running.
=======================================

Our Hosting support studied the problem and found the following information:

"The command line for cPanel is saying mailscanner is not working, but the interface in cPanel is saying it is. "

"It seems the process cPanel is looking for is one run by the root user but the one running is running under the mailnull user. So it impacts how cPanel sees the service."

I checked and the MailScanner is definitely running as mailnull

mailnull 3351099 9.1 0.6 403568 151680 ? S 10:30 0:00 MailScanner: checking with SpamAssassin

I don't think I can fix that problem as a user, nor can our Hosting Support.
=============================================================================

Does it need to be resolved by communication between Configserver and CPanel?

Thanks for any help.
