I've been using mailwatch for years, but recently I am getting this message when I load it:

Could not connect to database: Access denied for user 'mailwatch'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I haven't changed any passwords, so I'm puzzled. I re-installed, and saw this message:

After uninstalling the Mailscanner Frontend and all of its components (I followed its uninstall docs), exim will no longer verified recipients. Even though I have all my default addressses setup to :fail: and I have verified that exim.conf still has require verify = recipients, its still accepting everything at SMTP time and then doing a bounce message saying it doesnt exist. Has anyone been able to change the Date/Time on the MailWatch Recent Message report as well as the message detail and quarantined page from DD/MM/YYYY to MM/DD/YYYY?

Today I noticed my /tmp partition was at 90% full. I deleted all the files in it but moved the mysql.sock file out then moved it back. I think I must have removed some crucial file that has to do with the software here and need to know how I fix it.

I was wondering if MailScanner / MailScanner Front-End (or any other product for that matter) supports automatic mail queue scanning and spam filtering.

The reason I ask is because when a cPanel account is configured as a Backup Mail Exchanger, any mail that comes through bypasses SpamAssassin, as well as any blacklists that are set up. The mail basically goes straight to the Exim...

This morning Mailscanner front end offered an upgrade and I clicked on the upgrade button. Now, using whm to go to the the MSF gives a 404 error, though the service scan says mailscanner is running. What to do?

We have faced an issue With CXS & MailScanner in past 2 days which considering most of the files & emails as Virus .

I've just recently upgraded MSFE.

I've clicked the Access Mailwatch button, and a new window is opened and an error message appears.

Cannot find configuration value: VirusScanners in /usr/mailscanner/etc/MailScanner.conf

Does anyone know what I should do? this hasn't happened before.

I have Mail Manage, Mail Scanner and Mail Scanner FE installed. Everything checks out in WHM and MailScanner is running fine on the server.

When any user logs in to their CPanel, they get a 404 error when they click on the MailScanner Configuration icon.

The URL is:

The same behavior occurs on two servers with MS...

Since my server autoupgrade, msfe didn´t work anymore.

On WHM i receive the folowing message:

ConfigServer MailScanner Front-End

msfe is not licensed for this server

I have noticed since updating cPanel to the latest build, that Mailscanner Frontend no longer seems to see spamassassin the same way. Spam scanning is continuing, but when running a --lint test, Mailwatch can not properly run the command due to the non-existance of spamassassin.
I had to create a symlink to sa-learn just so that the Bayes Database output would work... but a *lot* of mail is...

Though it seems that MailScanner FE and MailQueues are functioning behind the scenes, the front-end in WHM is failing with the new version installed.

I get:

If I enabled Spamassassin via TweakSettings in WHM, would this cause errors in any of your utilities: mailscanner, scf, cxf and so on?

The reason I ask, the new version of cPanel now includes new rule features in cPanel ---> User Level and Account Level filtering. These new rule features are called Spam Status, Spam Bar and Spam Score. So if Spamassassin is off in TweakSettings, then when...

Our User Level Filtering and Account level Filtering options from cpanel does not work. I suspect a relation to Mailscanner. Can anyone help?
