after upgrading MSFE and MailScanner to the latest version (MailScanner 5.0.2, MSFE 6.02 and ConfigServer MailScanner Script 3.07) I noticed that rules update isn't triggered automatically (e.g. after creating new cPanel account or after creating new addon domain).
I have verified that /usr/mscpanel/msbe.pl script is executed every 10 minutes via cron job and I even tried running the script...
First off, mail is working, and is being both sent and received, so this issue is not stopping email delivery.
When looking at the Maillog, I get this error every 30 seconds or so:
MailScanner: Cannot find Socket (/tmp/clamd) Exiting!
Restarting Clamd and MailScanner services results in an'OK', and status shows them both running.
There is no tmp/clamd file, but there is a tmp/clamd.socket file...
Recently had MSFE and Mailscanner installed on a new server, and I've notice that this one does not show a block at the bottom of each message (when you click the # to view an individual message) like it does on all the other servers I use it on. It's an extra section at the very bottom that had a heading of Quarantine , and allows us to view the actual message if we needed to. I've gone over the...
In an earlier server, I would often go into MailWatch, and select spam emails, and had the ability to report them, or forward to an email address (which I used to report)
A new server was just configured, and does not have this option.
I'm not sure I explained it well, but I might be able to clarify better if needed. I don't have any screen shots of the previous behavior.

Have a few questions relating to the functionallity of the FrontEnd before I get it and install that as well as MailScanner on my server.
- Is there a way to configure more options to be displayed to the end-users as well as maybe take away some? For instance, if I wanted to allow the users to setup an e-mail address to forward all e-mails for their domain (through monitoring/archiving) as well...
I'm guessing it doesn't, but want to make sure.
I've been getting an altered RPMs email lately. Does it have anything to do with this package, which does change much of the antivirus configurations?
It seems that that big custom TLD sweep turned out to be not much more then a huge breeding ground for spammers. My server is literally getting bombed with spam from tons of these new TLD's. I started by blocking them one at a time in the server spam blacklist , .link, .science, .party, .webcam, .click...etc etc...but they continue breed like rats and it's a pin to keep up with.
I thought I seen...
First of all, I do not see a Report Bugs (msfe) forum.
Thus I am reporting here.
Please just press the Mailscanner STOP button on the ConfigServer MailScanner Front-End page to see the following page ( I believe the bug is self explanatory, weird characters and a restart instead of plain stop ):
Stopping MailScanner...

Ive tried forcing the clamav reinstall - rebooting the server
reinstalling mailscanner
host support also looked at it
I've attempted to investigate this further to the best of my ability, but there appears to be an issue with how ConfigServer's mailscanner is handling the clamAV installation. I've tried re-installing ClamAV using the ConfigServer reinstallation option, but this does not...
This is turned allowed the individual messages shown in the Mailwatch Message Listing with radio buttons for Ham Spam and something else which I can't remember.
However of late I noticed that these radio buttons on the right are no longer there but instead the usual has returned.
What could have happened? The settings as described in the FAQ is...
I have started to see more and more crap mail from .pictures domains but can't seem to add this domain in the MailScanner front end black list it just won't accept it?
Just moments ago installed MSFE. Install was without issue. First attempt to open MailWatch this error pops up in the MailWatch window.
Warning: mysql_pconnect() : Access denied for user 'mailwatch'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/3rdparty/mailwatch/functions.php on line 508
Could not connect to database: Access denied for user 'mailwatch'@'localhost'...
Would like the ability to edit rule sets from within MSFE. Viewing them is helpful but with the advent of multiple new TLDs I'm finding the need several times a month to add rules in the spam.blacklist.rules file.
