From two other servers I tried to telnet in to the server and the connection is refused ( telnet xx.xx.xx.xx 25 ) It is refused whether csf is...

If you don't put the URL in a web page where it can be spidered, then it would be practically impo...

You can use the configuration option, GLOBAL_ALLOW to specify an allow file for all of your servers to use. Then simply edit the file adding/removing as necessary and all of your servers will be updated.

Yep, you are correct.

195.122.131.0/24 will block

195.122.131.0 to .255 or anything starting with 195.122.131.

195.122.0.0/16 would block

195.122.0.0 to 195.122.255.255 or anything starting with 195.122.

I don't know how a list of IP's would be insecure but if you are that concerned about it, just name the file something really obscure that couldn't be guessed. If someone gets your ftp information or otherwise gets access to the file, you are going to have worse problems to worry about than a list o...

DENY_IP_LIMIT # Limit the number of IP's kept in the /etc/csf/csf.deny file. This can be # important as a large number of IP addresses create a large number of iptables # rules (4 times the number of IP's) which can cause problems on some systems # where either the the number of iptables entries has...
