We've been seeing some perl module problems on install lately. You can try running /scripts/checkperlmodules until it runs clean. After that just keep installing whatever modules are missing. We will look into this and see if we can determine where the problem lies.

This FAQ should help. The logs produced by exim are the same whether your server is running tailwatch or not.

Thanks for letting us know. We don't generally test or fix things that are broken in Edge since it is a beta version of cPanel.

I have no idea. If the user is on a dialup perhaps the IP address changes from time to time, or perhaps their IP address gets removed from the blacklist and then re-added. Have you checked the headers as I suggested? If it's MailScanner that is deleting the mails, then looking at the exim logs won't...

Often when this type of thing happens it is because the sender's IP address is listed on one of the RBL lists used in MailScanner, AND the domain has MailScanner configured to delete high-scoring spam. I assume you don't have MailWatch installed, so to investigate it you will need to change the high...

I though that MS use serverwide database to fight spam - am I wrong? Not sure what you mean by serverwide database. MailScanner uses a lot of tools on a serverwide basis to identify spam, including SpamAssassin (which you can fine-tune by adding or modifying SA rules and scores), Razor, DCC, and sp...

If it is too much to ask, would it be possible to have an example of what the antivirus.empty file might contain. If you're asking how to create an exim filter I'm afraid that's beyond the scope of this forum. You will find lots of information on the exim.org website and newsgroup or by doing a Goo...

The install script automatically does that, not sure why it didn't in your case. Are you running Edge? It's possible cPanel have changed something in Edge so it didn't work, but since that's in beta we don't make any changes to our scripts until it comes out in current.

Thanks for your input. I am in the process of editing the installation instructions on our website and in the INSTALL.txt in msinstall.tar.gz. The bold item has two tick boxes so which box(es) should be unticked... It seems the monitoring side of things is the correct one but I can't locate a defini...
