Blocking connections without blocking e-mail

Is it possible to block connections from China (CN) without blocking e-mail from China? We have one account that must receive e-mail from China. If I use CC_Deny, they e-mail is denied. I would like to block login attempts, but not block e-mail from CN. I'm not sure if whitelisting would work, but e...

Incoming mail being block by my configserver setup.

I have an account that can't receive mail from a vendor that uses Outlook 365. I have been sent the NDR from the outgoing smtp server and the IT at the other end says I need to allow connection from the APAC region datacenter for O365. I am trying to figure out how to change my filtering and protect...

Re: spam from odd TLDs - can we assign higher bayes score by

Did you use CSF to block those domains? That is a big load on the IPtables. We found success using the blacklist rules.

Change to your own TLDs that are bothering you.

Put this:

From: /\.pw$/ yes
From: /\.info$/ yes
From: /\.ru$/ yes

Those are tabs, not spaces

Re: Country Code Deny

I do. I think I figured it out a short while ago. I'm watching the recent messages list now to see how it goes.

I put this:

From: /\.pw$/ yes

Re: Country Code Deny

This has been working for me for CN,IN,MY,PH,UA,HK but after I added PW, I noticed it doesn't block any PW messages. I just looked at one of the spam messages. The FROM address is blah@blah.pw but when I look at the sending server is from France. How can I block all e-mail whose FROM address end in ...

Re: Country Code Deny

Ya, I see my IP tables file is about 15,000 lines long now. But it has been a blessing to get rid of the constant hits from China and India, as well as others!

Re: Country Code Deny

May I ask a question on this same topic? Does the CC_Deny or CC_Filter block all incoming mail also? Or just blocks attempts to use the smtp server to send mail? I want to stop all CC codes except US from logging in to the pop3d or using the smtp to send mail, but I do not want to stop legitimate ma...
