I have the same errors occurring on different servers. Have you received an answer yet or figured out how to fix it?

I found that the directory /usr/mailscanner was missing. I repeated the upated and it appears to be ok now.

I just updated clamav, then MailScanner this morning. I didn't notice any error messages go by but after the update completed, MailScanner will not start.
