Re: plupload.silverlight.xap <- is it safe?

Doh... Ignore my question on the hfile deal. I just realized how that's supposed to work :)

Still do need an answer on the md5sum: however. I think I'm doing that correctly, not 100% sure though.

Re: plupload.silverlight.xap <- is it safe?

So if I have an md5sum of that particular plupload.silverlight.xap file, I would enter the following into my cxs.ignore file: md5sum:f3c8xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Is that correct? The example also says: # hfile: - ignore file relative to a users homedir (With: --all, --user) So how does that work with a re...

Re: Hourly limit is not compatilbe with 11.32.2

Ok, nevermind... I did find the solution in a cPanel Forum article.

http://forums.cpanel.net/f43/11-28-max- ... 73212.html
It is now stored in /var/cpanel/users/username file.

Good to know.

Re: Hourly limit is not compatilbe with 11.32.2

Note: This is still happening and 11.32 is in STABLE tree for some time already. Also, what we used to do, is this: Create a file in /var/cpanel/maxemailsperdomain/domainname.tld with the number of emails allowed per hour (say 300). Save the file and then we ran the /scripts/update_email_limits user...

Re: A rule to block IP's looking for non existant pages

Chirpy, a small update you may want to make in lfd.pl... Line 1753 you have this: &ipblock($perm,"$tip, more than $config{LF_APACHE_404} Apache 404 hits in the last hour",$ip,$ports{mod_security},"in",$config{LF_APACHE_404_PERM},0,"","LF_APACHE_404"); It should be: &ipblock($perm,"$tip, more than $c...

Re: A rule to block IP's looking for non existant pages

Just read the ChangeLog for 5.20. I see you added LF_APACHE_404 and LF_APACHE_404_PERM

Thank you so very much!!!

That should really help in this type of attack.

A rule to block IP's looking for non existant pages

We have noticed that in our error log file, there will sometimes be one or two IP addresses that are hammering the server looking for a particular page on a customers site that no longer exists. In 2 days, we noticed 3 IP's that have hit the same page and received a 404 error over 740 thousand times...
