Re: Exim bouncing: "Message too long for transport"
I don't believe this is a cPanel issue, as exim_outgoing.conf is used by MailScanner. I also don't believe this is a MailScanner issue; more likely a problem with a sender's mail client. (Try a recursive grep of "exim_outgoing.conf" in /var/cpanel and see what it shows you. Most results ar...

Re: Exim bouncing: "Message too long for transport"
Reached out to cPanel and they say they only introduced a way to modify the setting in their Exim config manager about a month ago now, with v102.0.2 of WHM. Prior to that one would have needed to manually edit /etc/exim.conf. Going forward, any customer-set values in the config manager should be re...

Re: Exim bouncing: "Message too long for transport"
Heard back from cPanel - they had me bump up the maximum line length to 4096 from 2048 (their current default in Exim Config Manager). Messages seem to be going out OK from the Azure provider now. (If only M$'s SMTP server had been RFC compliant to start with, this problem wouldn't have presented. O...

Feature Suggestion: Quick Search Box by Message ID
Had suggested this some years back. Would be super handy if the "Email ID" form field was replicated at the very top of the front-end, perhaps in the "Mailscanner Service" section. The "Lookup" button could be optional, simply having the form submitted when clicking <En...

Exim bouncing: "Message too long for transport"
MailScanner v5.3.3 WHM v102.0.8 (STANDARD) Exim v4.95 Hi, all, am having an intermittent issue with messages sent via an Azure client to external accounts. The issue started after a recent WHM upgrade, but cPanel support is pointing to ConfigServer as possibly being the culprit. The Azure client has...

Re: Preventing '{Disarmed}' from being added to outgoing messages
Thanks for the reply. I'd already done that, and as stated, it does not seem to work. Added this to /usr/mailscanner/etc/rules/spam.whitelist.rules (actual address munged): From: whitelistedaddress@domain.tld yes Based on the other entries in the file, looks like it uses a space between From: and th...

Re: Preventing '{Disarmed}' from being added to outgoing messages
After a little more digging, looks like what's causing the messages to be flagged is some telemetry being inserted into the message. This is the latest QuickBooks Enterprise sending invoices via Thunderbird. QuickBooks is adding an <img> link to the Thunderbird email template which references a spac...

Preventing '{Disarmed}' from being added to outgoing messages
Hi, All, MailScanner v5.3.3 ConfigServer MailScanner Script v5.02 MailScanner Front-Ind v9.07 ConfigServer Security & Firewall v14.08 Not sure exactly when this started, but certain outbound mails to them are being marked "Disarmed". Have: whitelisted the sending IP in both /etc/csf.al...
