Re: CSF showing cpsrvd as an error, why

Started getting these as well with WHM 11.60. Don't know exactly why but definitely annoying.

Adding this to csf.logignore seems to do the job:

^==> cpsrvd.*

Cheers,

Re: csf.logignore help with expressions

Had the same problem when Apache started new log format. This worked for me:

Re: clamAV upgrade error

Well... Just retried using FF3 instead of IE8 and everything went smoothly. Don’t know if this is a browser issue or a transient server problem.

In any event, could I have been able to safely upgrade clamAV with the following commands:

Code: Select all

./configure
make
make install
Thanks.

Re: clamAV upgrade error

No I don’t run other virus scanners on this box. This is the typical MailScanner Service Package installed by Chirpy a while ago.

clamAV upgrade error

Hi, Today I was unable to upgrade either MailScanner Script (2.79-> 2.80) or clamAV (v0.96.5 New:v0.97) from MailScanner FE GUI. Upon launching the upgrade, the scripts indicate that it is downloading the source files and then the page simply times out (in WHM). For the clamAV upgrade, this is the e...

Debug doc and/or Custom verbose levels

Hi: May I suggest further documentation on the different debug levels? On that regard, the verbose level could be configured manually (ie. list of all possible items/categories of alerts with 0/1 option). This could help sysadmin to track/monitor/manage some issues more closely. see this post for fu...

lfd stopped logging time

Hi, I am running csf 4.16 (since 26/10/2008) and for no apparent reason lfd stopped logging the time in lfd.log starting November 1st, 2008. This is an exemple of the lines I now get: Nov 2 servername lfd[31861]: *Port Scan* detected from xx.xxx.xxx.xxx hits in the last 235 seconds - *Blocked in csf...

On my box the Mailscanner config file is located at:

/usr/mailscanner/etc/MailScanner.conf
Warning: Be very careful when changing any of the parameters within this file as changes could stop email being processed on the server and/or email to be lost completely.
