Re: my bad config, or install.sh bugs? 6.09 6.10 upgrade
Thanks Boss That tells me precisely and concisely what I needed to know about the "missing" update-rc.d
What about the failed chmod of /etc/csf/*.php ? Is that a "catch all" for naughty PHP scripts that find their way into /etc/csf/ ?

my bad config, or install.sh bugs? 6.09 6.10 upgrade

Re: /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log
Hi :) If the error messages bug you as they do me (I equate an empty error_log file to 'restful sleep' ;) ) Pending an official fix rollout from Chripy, you could (** AT YOUR OWN RISK! ***) try editing file:- /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/addon_cmm.cgi in cmm v1.16 change line 36 from... $c...

Re:
Hi marty, X-ARF is not standard yet. But it is better for automatically handling Reports :-) We have add more tools to parse the Reports on x-arf.org/tools.html Also you can check your own Reports with the Online Validator x-arf.org/validator.html Hi fail2ban :) (is that Tobias?) Thank you for your...

Re: Add port-knocking feature?
I've used a similar idea, but to see it incorporated into CSF/LFD would be seriously useful

small edits to x-arf.txt
Chirpy, thanks for implementing X-ARF, though as it is not yet a standard, and is therefore more likely to be read by humans than machines for now, may I suggest the following minor changes to the default x-arf.txt ? From: root To: root Auto-Submitted: auto-generated X-ARF: YES Content-Type: multipa...

pre-hack warnings (sshd)
Hi Jonathan, Back in the APF/BFD days, I had added an SSH block rule for /var/log/secure matching:- eg:- Nov 1 09:36:27 mail sshd[30573]: Did not receive identification string from 61.185.130.226 That was always followed by invalid login attempts. More recently, I have noticed that the following sho...
